The idyllic British summer. A lull in the constant rain and wind. A time to get out and walk in the countryside to see some traditional sights .... like ponies standing under the trees, sheltering from the rain....
.... beautiful colours high up on the Pennine moors.
'Oil, oil!' shouted the person I was walking with. 'We might be rich.'
'No, man,' said the farmer. 'That's just rusty old lead water.'
The walker was visibly disappointed that this was not the answer to all her problems of escalating fuel costs. But it confirms the old Scottish adage of: ' Never put too much water in your whiskey. Don't drink too much water. Water makes you rust.'
